Pioneer Announces e-Boost Order of $7.1 Million from One of the Largest U.S. School Districts
Pioneer received an order from one of the largest public school districts in the United States for 25 e-Boost Mobile units to charge the district's electric school bus ("ESB") fleet. The e-Boost units will help the school district meet local environmental requirements by phasing out traditional fuel sources. School buses are the largest public transportation network in the country -- 95% of them are on diesel, whose exhaust fumes are linked to health problems among children, and accounts for more than 5M tons of yearly GHG emissions.
"Electrifying school transportation is central to the clean energy transition... and Pioneer's e-Boost solution has been proven again to be an integral piece of this energy transition," said Geo Murickan, Head of Pioneer eMobility.
The initial deployment with serve approximately 200 EV buses, and delivery is expected throughout the first quarter of 2025.
