e-Boost EV Fast Charging during Events

Humanoid Spikes and the EV Charging Problem

As the U.S. re-emerges following COVID, the revenue in the Music Events segment alone is projected to reach $10 billion in 2022. Attendees are expected to reach nearly 100 million by 2026 -- what will be ‘Humanoid Spikes,’ large numbers of people gathering for short periods of time. And, these numbers don’t include sporting events, conventions, trade shows, fairs etc.

As of 2022, there were only 5,900 locations in the U.S. with the fastest Level 3 DCFC chargers available to the public. The electric vehicle (EV) market is poised for an explosion in sales, with market share expected to grow more than four times between now and 2025. If generators typically have to be brought in to support these events, and the utility permitting process takes 6 months to two years, the likelihood of there being enough power to also support EV charging is slim to none.

e-Boost Closes the EV Charging Gap

Generator rental companies who already provide the additional power for these events are in a prime position to also provide Level 3 DCFC charging for EVs with e-Boost‘s Mobile or POD solutions. Additionally, e-Boost can be configured to provide both EV charging and electrical power for the event. These mobile units can be dropped off anywhere prior to busy events. They include any combination of charging plugs and adapters. And, with e-Boost charging, customers don‘t have to subscribe to a charging network or drive a particular kind of EV.

After the busy event, e-Boost units can be relocated to any number of other locations where one might anticipate a high density of EVs.

e-Boost provides EV charging and connectivity without incurring the capital costs and time delays associated with the infrastructure. e-Boost provides fast charging using 50-350 kW power units.

Rapid charging. Recharging can occur in ten minutes depending on range desired and an EV’s rating.

Increase revenue opportunities. Most generator companies are already at these events, why not provide a turnkey EV charging solution to maximize your bottom line?

On-site refueling. Unlike conventional battery charging banks, which must return to a specific charging location, e-Boost EV charging are refueled on-site in as little as ten minutes by a local propane supplier.

Pathway to Net-Zero

Moreover, e-Boost units are refueled by local Propane suppliers. Propane is one of the cleanest fuels available, offering the lowest in carbon emissions per million BTUs according to the EIA. It does not contaminate the soil or groundwater because it’s non-toxic and non-poisonous. Propane’s environmentally friendly benefits don’t end there. It is a pathway to net-zero emissions with the inclusion of commercial scale renewable Liquid Propane Gas (rLPG) and renewable Dimethyl Ether (rDME) expected in 2022.

Servicing of Units

Charging networks haven’t had the best record for operational maintenance. Charging stations are serviced by their owners, and some simply provide better service contracts than others. e-Boost units are serviced by Pioneer’s Critical Power Group, which has been servicing power generation assets for three decades with a nationwide network.

e-Boost is a product of Pioneer eMobility, a division of Pioneer Power Solutions (NASDAQ: PPSI), experienced providers of off-grid resiliency solutions like distributed power and backup power generation assets throughout the USA. All e-Boost units provide backup power and connectivity in the event of outages.
